Friendly reception staff made you feel welcome, location convenient for our stay.
7.0Reception staff friendly and had our room ready with heater on to warm up the room and milk in the fridge for our a/hours arrival. Quality mattress (great sleep), clean unit that provided all the amenities we needed for our stay.

8.0Close to town but quiet enough to be back one block from the main road. Price point comparison is interesting - I've just stayed in Auckland overnight and the venue was more modern, offered free breakfast and cheaper than Taumarunui. Having said that we also paid $15 parking overnight in Auckland - whereas it's free in all towns and most cities in NZ (except for Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington where alot of venues charge). We would stay again.
− Upstairs room and having to carry luggage up 2 flights of stairs. But no big deal.

There should be better noise prevention rules in place, but otherwise clean and comfortable.
7.0Nice comfy bed. Clean facilities.
− Units dated and tired. No safety chain on door. Noisy groups with children who ran up down the stairs and along the balcony until quite late then rose early and repeated their noise.
