Short and sweet Riverland getaway
10.0A short getaway to a pretty Riverland town. Great venue for the AFL grand final with lovely sunset views, good variety dinner menu and a night in the newly renovated motel rooms on site. Not too far, but a pleasant world away from the city. Looking forward to returning over summer.

8.0We stayed in the Waikerie Hotel and were looked after well. It was quiet, close to shops and very convenient. One dining envening had to wait in line 28 minutes to give meal order - only one person serving here against two bar staff not that busy. Hotel's failure to quickly adapt to customer needs was very apparent - need to do better. Meal itself was really great.
