Value for money
7.0Peacefull location
− I rang the recept/ manager as nobady at recept office around 9.00am to advise no hot water at all for showering. I advised I checked the hot water system at our bangalow and this was stone cold . After conversation some days later with the manager he apologized for the situation and acknowledged there was an issue with the hot water system they didnt know about. The inconvenience was adressed in a professional manner and a rebate forwarded on .

10.0Lovely location, beautiful house, very comfortable and a very good price! Will definitely return!
Pleasant old world atmosphere esp on a foggy day and night
8.0Atmosphere. Chance to meet people in the lounge
− Staff pretty absent. A bit rambling with quite a few stairs for carrying suitcases

9.0I adored my 5 night stay here so much that I mourned having left it for about a week after. The building is beautifully historic and cozy with a very kind and friendly caretaker who will give you a quick informative tour of the houses’ unique background. This stay also came with the most cuddly sweet cat I’ve ever met, often coming to sleep in our room or sitting on my lap at breakfast. Although the bed was a bit on the hard side, the coziness of the rooms heater, design and couch made up for it. The closeness to Katoomba was great with only a few minutes drive to see stunning views at Echo Point. I loved that the friendly town of Leura and its attractive shops of Megalong books, Josephans fine chocolates and the Nook, were only a walk away from this house as well. I will definitely be coming back, if not for cozy rooms, then for that adorable cat. Also, it’s BYO food but all the appliances and utensils are there for you to use
The Priests Cottage
10.0The host was lovely, helpful, and welcoming. Took the time to give us some background about the history of Leura house, which was interesting. We stayed in the Priests cottage, very quiet and peaceful. Heating facilities provided were much needed and appreciated. Beds had electric blankets. The place was neat and tidy. Room has fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. Very spacious and cosy. Also loved the family room and being able to use the kitchen facilities in the main building whenever needed.
− The bed mattresses were hard and uncomfortable. Some visible mould and dusty in areas. Just needs a proper deep clean. However, it wasn't filthy. Certainly didnt ruin our stay. The back room with the single bed was super cold, so did not attempt to sleep in there.
