Both the location and the on-site facilities were top-notch. A highlight for us was the walking track right on the property—it’s an absolute must-do. Plus, the adorable alpacas were a massive hit that my son loved. I highly recommend this place to any families looking for a relaxing break!"
− The car park spot right next to the house requires urgent attention due to rain. However, I believe it is currently being repaired, which is great!

A relaxing and peaceful getaway in a beautiful location—we would definitely stay again.
10.0The property was peaceful, clean, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The room was comfortable, warm, and well-equipped. The location was perfect for exploring the area and visiting Mt Buller. We really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and beautiful views.
− There wasn’t much to dislike. The Wi-Fi could have been a little stronger, but overall everything met our expectations.

10.0We had a wonderful stay at the Black Swan in a one-bedroom chalet. My daughter and I absolutely loved waking up to the stunning mountain views each morning and listening to the birds – it was such a peaceful and relaxing experience. The chalet was exceptionally well equipped and had everything we could possibly need during our stay. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and genuinely lovely, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is beautiful, quiet, and close to plenty of natural walking areas, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the Black Swan to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
− The only small thing worth mentioning is that, purely as a personal preference, I prefer a softer mattress and found the bed a little firmer than I'm used to. That said, this certainly didn't impact our stay or overall experience. We still had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed everything the Black Swan had to offer.
Good to know
The area does not receive Council water. We use rain water collection which is double filtered and UV treated. We do not use chemicals or Chlorine so the water coloration may not be as clear as council water. The water is suitable for consumption. On occasions when the collection tanks run low due to less rain, we buy cartage water which is the same as council water - suitable for drinking.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
