7.0The location was good- it was an easy walk to go anywhere in the town.
− I didn't receive a breakfast menu in my room- it would have been good. It was very noisy at night with a car or motorbike revving extremely loudly across the road. I wondered why the management didn't call the police. The bathroom would have been better with some form of heating.
Parkes stopover on way home from a school holiday road trip to the snow
10.0We stayed here in the July school holidays, on a road trip back from the snow in Thredbo. Our whole family loved how much room there was - a large bed in the main room, then in the second room there were three single beds. It felt like a luxury to have so much space. The gentleman on Reception was so helpful - pointing us in the right direction to see the statue of Henry Parkes in the Main Street, and with dinner recommendations. We ate at Rice, the nearby Thai restaurant, which was delicious. Overall, this stay was one of our highlights whilst on our road trip because of the great location, huge room, hot showers, super helpful reception staff and plentiful tea and coffee tray. We would certainly stay again next time we pass through Parkes.
