Great staff but needs modernising.
6.0Very friendly and responsive manager, couple of lightbulbs were broken and were sorted out very promptly. Friendly and good cleaning staff. Location is handy. Air con unit warmed the room well. Good supply of mugs and basic crockery, even nice biscuits. The office sells milk and a few basic cold supplies. The walls seemed well sound-proofed, other than people going in and out of their cars, it was quiet.
− The room (9) is dated, particularly the bathroom which was below expectations. We had prepaid for 2 nights so I was unable to go elsewhere. The corner bath is ancient, badly scuffed and looks dirty even though been cleaned. The surround is dirty looking mortar and black pebbles, which I wouldn't put anything down on. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to have a bath in that tub, needs replacing. The shower was ok but door doesn’t close fully. The bathroom floor had darker patches and though probably clean, was a bit dubious. Too few surfaces to put toiletries, and the small hook on back of the bathroom door fell off as soon as anything was put on it. The bedroom has a bit of a stale odour, I dislike carpet so would prefer more sanitary hard flooring . Overall, I don’t really understand the amazing reviews this place has. The staff are doing the best with what they have and the manager is great. But other than that, the outdoor road signage is old and not very welcoming, the facilities very average. I won’t be returning, I’m afraid.

10.0We had a wonderful stay at Shearing Shed and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The property was beautiful, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. A special mention to Ash, the property manager, who was absolutely superb. He made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Ash is truly the right person for the job, and his warm and welcoming approach made our experience even more special. We highly recommend Shearing Shed and would happily stay here again!
