Awful rooms, great staff
4.0Positive: Staff is very friendly, pro-active and helpful, even for Myanmar standards. Breakfast is pretty good with the usual rice, noodles, fried vegetables, soup, rubber bread, eggs, bananas. Rooms have mosquito meshing. Negative: The rooms are awful. They are dated and in desperate need for a make-over (when did they last paint?!), especially the bath rooms. Cleaning is very superficial. I was careful what to touch and pretty engrossed. Rooms are so small, I can't see how 2 people would fit into the double room. Location is far away from bus terminal (ab 30 min taxi) but close to jetty. The hotel is on the dodgy end of town. Lots of beer restaurants (full of men and rather disgusting), street food options are unpleasant and nowhere near the (cleanliness and taste) standard of the rest of the country.
