Disappointing
6.0Disappointing. This is not a 4-star hotel as shown on google maps. The rooms were clean, spacious and perfectly acceptable, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. However, that’s where the positives end. The hotel facilities are of 2-star standard.
− The hotel facilities are 2-star. Beds are hard, pillows thin and lumpy. The pool is tiny and overcrowded even with only a few people using it. Pool bar is pricey and poor quality; E11 for an aperol vs E5 at a pleasant beachfront bar 5mins away. The breakfast was poor quality. Most of the staff, aside from reception, were just disinterested. Some photographs on here appear to have been AI-generated or heavily enhanced. Location under the flight path does mean there’s aircraft noise - but it’s not a bother and nor did the room overlooking the car park particularly bother us for a 1 night stay. However the area itself is totally unappealing; pebbly beach, a drab beach front and nowhere to walk; ok if you have a car I guess but there’s little to do and few quality eating options. The stay was just acceptable - but only because we walked off the beach into neighbouring Pylea hotel which had a far superior pool, sun loungers, and facilities - and is on google as a 3 * hotel.
