6.0For the price of a five-star resort, the experience delivered little more than three-star comfort. The property’s setting is undeniably scenic—nestled amid Newport’s storied outskirts and within easy reach of the grand mansions—but beauty alone cannot disguise the shortcomings within. At $500 per night, expectations naturally rise; yet the reality was underwhelming. The room felt dated, the bed lacked comfort, and the bathroom offered only the most basic amenities. Everything was clean, certainly, but devoid of the charm or coziness that might redeem its simplicity. Even at half the rate, the experience would have been disappointing. At full price, it was verging on absurd. In short, this is a property whose setting promises far more than its execution delivers.
