Zeer geslaagd, veel gewandeld en interessante musea bezocht.
8.0Ontbijt: voldoende variatie aan beleg en brood, regelmatig aangevuld. Eitjes à la minute bestellen/bakken is een +punt. Koffielepeltjes vonden we niet, het waren enkel 'langere' lepels, ook goed hoor. Ruime zitplaatsen. Koffie zéér lekker, alsook de verschillende sapjes. Confituur oppompen echter was een kunst... dat vlotte niet goed. Onthaal: zeer vlot en mét ervaring, behulpzaam (bijv. voor het tijdelijk 'deponeren' van onze bagage). Badkamer en kamer: tip top. Personeel ook erg vriendelijk. Het hotel ligt op wandelafstand van het 'nieuwe' station dus ook een meevaller! Ons verblijf in Van der Valk hotel - Mons maakte van de tweedaagse een aangenaam uitje.

− leaving this review solely for the benefit of others consideration. when I went to get into bed, the fitted sheet of the bed under the duvet was visibly dirty. hairs, pubic hair, stains. it was as though the cleaning staff put clean blankets on a dirty fitted sheet that was never cleaned. when I informed that staff they offer to switch rooms. the second room was the exact same situation. I was switched to a third room. the kid who ran the front desk was clearly new or untrained and didn't know how to handle the ordeal. management handled it the next day, and offered to comp my meals, which was appreciated. he seemed discouraged this happened, but they need to get this sorted out for the sake of the guests hospitality.

Comfortable beds an great location.
8.0The bedroom was decent with the basic needs that you'll require for a room. Loved the shower, very spacious. The breakfast was amazing. There is a barber shop and nail saloon, didn'tuse it, but it's good to know that it is there.
− The swimming pool and jacuzzi are small for the size of the hotel. We were in a corner of the swimming pool waiting to get a chance to get into the jacuzzi.
