10.0Elke and Bart were superb hosts, friendly, and incredibly accommodating and helpful during my stay. Breakfast was so much food that I was able to comfortably skip lunch most days! Because they recently took over the property, they are doing some renovations (that I think look much improved!), and I was a little concerned when I arrived and there was a construction crew on site. However, Elke upgraded my room so I wouldn't be disturbed by the sound before I said anything, and I ended up staying in a much much nicer room than I originally booked! There were a couple random issues I ran into, but Elke was on top of everything and my entire stay was relaxing from beginning to end. If I ever find myself in Hoedspruit again, I'm definitely going to stay at the African Rock Lodge!
− The system for getting into town for dinner is a bit Byzantine, and if you don't drive, you have to take a specific taxi service in/out. I had some trouble getting back to the lodge one evening due taxi communication issues, but I think this is just an issue with the entire Wildlife Estate and not specific to this accommodation. If you drive yourself, I don't think you would have to deal with this, but it's something to keep in mind otherwise.

9.0We got a very warm welcome by Elke & Bart when we arrived! They have a beautiful and tasteful Lodge! We only stayed for 1 night, but it was an excellent stay. Very nice and complete breakfast, beautiful rooms and good suggestion for dinner! Really recommended!

10.0Het is een paradijs waar je komt! Los van de geweldige beesten die voor je deur lopen is de omgeving ook fantastisch! Wilde zwijnen, zebra's giraffen, prachtige vogels van alles wat. Wij waren 1,5 dag ziek en de eigenaren waren zo lief voor ons! Daarnaast moet je echt een zonsondergang safari via hun boeken dat was onze beste ervaring van heel de vakantie!!

10.0O atendimento foi muito bom! O quarto é espaçoso e bastante confortável! O café da manhã e jantar estavam deliciosos! Além disso, a localização é muito interessante, pois o lodge fica dentro do Wildlife State, por isso, até mesmo caminhando encontramos animais como girafas, zebras e muitos outros nas proximidades (isso é incrível!). Recomendo bastante!!
