4.0Ukuthula Lodge was our last stop of our December Holiday and what a disappointment. The views are beautiful and the animal walking around was nice. But the accommodation and the facilities on the lodge was a great disappointment. The little cottages where we lived in for the three days was not clean, the bedding was not replaced after the previous guests. My daughter found cookie crumbs in her bed. The next morning when we contacted the owners of the place to inform them that the place was not clean we received attitude from the staff that had to clean the place. The grass around the pool was not cut when we arrived there and the pools water was green, the paving around the pool was not clean. It is not worth paying so much money to stay at Ukuthula Lodge.
Game viewing on foot, rest and felaxation
8.0A lovely weekend destination at which to take a break from city life. Very generous hospitality! Some of the chalet furniture needs some attention, and some of the chalet woodwork needs fresh coat of varnish. The spa treatments are very affordable too. We left after our two night stay feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Lovely chalet in a stunning setting
10.0Lovely chalet in the middle of the bush. My patio overlooked a watering hole and there was a constant stream of game coming by. Warthogs, waterbuck, zebras and giraffes came to visit. The cottage was well appointed and far away from anyone else. If you are looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful; something different from the usual business hotels, this is the place. I will definitely be making a stop here on my next trip!
Great Escape - Value for money
6.0Hotel Staff were very accommodating. Stay was pleasant. Perfect for a getaway from the city. The Chalets are apart which provides privacy. Giraffe and Zebra can be seen from the chalet. Kids loved it! Chalet is equipped with BBQ kettle grill. Firewood and charcoal was provided.
