10.0This was our 4-th stay in this accomodation and every year the place gets more beautiful. Its important to choose very deliberately the right room/house as the differences in comfort is rather high. Our apartments have had a kitchen/common room with a pull out sofa and a completely separate sleeping room. Bathroom was of a sufficient size with a window for ventilation ( high up, privacy guaranteed). Previous years we have chosen a smaller apartment, that is also advertized as separate sleeping room, however that often means the room is not fully divided from the common room and is of much smaller size. Size of the terrace and garden is also larger with apartments with a bigger separate sleeping room and it makes a big difference to have a larger terrace. In this type of apartment there are also mosquite nets on the doors not only on the windows. We enjoyed the pool during our stay, be aware June dates mean, that you need to be advanterous by nature when entering the pool, the water is rather cool. July dates are providing a more warm pool temperature but rather full apartments and therefore less comfortable usage of facilities ( pool, common areas etc). There is a small shop/bar located within the resort, parking is in a gated part with dedicated parking spaces. We recomend to manage grocery shopping in bigger chains like Conad Superstore ( near highway exit Cecina ), ask the info point for a CONAD card, present your passport and you can also enjoy rabat prices like any other shopper. The sea is accessible either in the village Mazzanta right in front of the resort ( 10-15 minutes walking, several beach points with possibility to lease an umbrella and chair) or in the nearby city Cecina with wide beach and many options - darker sand, small pebbles, usually also waves. We often did trips to tuscan cities like Volterra ( approx 50 minutes by car), San Gimignano (approx 75 minutes by car), Sienna ( 2 hours by car).
