It was good. Nice spot for the mall and plenty of places to eat that is just a few steps away. Miss the place already

To begin, you should not have a gentrified mindset when making reservations at ANY bed and breakfast which is located in the culturally diverse neighborhoods. Being born and raised in Harlem I know what Brownstone and tenement living is. So I was VERY COMFORTABLE here. I will be back. I don't always want to stay with family when I go back home to visit.

Nice and affordable for NY; best service ever

10.0

It is a very nice place and with very nice hosters. It is true the place is not couples at all, but for casual travelers is super suitable and affordable.

At this price, I didn't expect a five-star hotel, but there were still surprises. The rooms do not include a bathroom, There is a single bathroom at the end of the hall for all guests. (Remember freshman year in college?) There are no locks on the guest room doors. Each guest gets a key only to the main entrance. The proprietors (husband and wife) were both MIA during the first 48 hours; thus no wi-fi or other amenities during that period. Heat was good, and good access to subway and fast food outlets. My experience would have been better if the owners had been on site,

Beautiful historic house, elegant and clean

10.0

My experience at the Mi Casa Tu Casa house was great. The night my friend and I arrived, our super friendly host showed us around the elegantly decorated historic house, which was built during the civil war period and expanded in the 20th century. Bedrooms for guests were upstairs, but we could also use the kitchen, living room and backyard on the first floor. Each floor had one bathroom, but there was only one other guest room on our floor, so there was not much inconvenience. There was a small fridge, a television and an electronic alarm clock in our room--the Spain room. (I think the name came from the decorations in the room.) The room had no desk or chairs and was a bit dark, so it was kind of hard to find a comfortable posture to use my laptop, but if you do not need to read or use a computer the place should probably be quite cozy. The host also gave us very useful information such as how to find our way around the Bronx and get to different parts of New York from nearby subway stations. The nearby diner that he recommended offered nice hot breakfast. I visited New York during the weekend to go to the immersive play Then She Fell, and was merely looking for a safe, not-too-expensive place to stay when it came to housing. Mi Casa Tu Casa was a very happy surprise!
