Excellent food, Edwardian Era vibe, beautiful location.
10.0Location was fantastic, walks right from the door step. Little stream nearby. Beautifully maintained and had the vibe of a ‘Downtown Abbey ‘ era. They have a fantastic chef, the food was delicious!! We had both the evening meal and the breakfast. They have a lift which really helps. Everything clean and charming.
− We were on the second floor and it was the tail-end of the heat wave and a fan in the room would have really helped. Other than that there were no complaints!!

Great value for money historic hotel in moorland near to motorway with attentive/helpful staff
9.0Staff were cheerful, very helpful and took time to answer questions It was explained on check in that coach tours were staying that night and staff suggested we select times for dinner and breakfast. Excellent buffet breakfast - even had fried bread, haven't seen that in years Woodland walk to see Red Squirrels
− Bathroom was a bit tired
