6.0Stayed for 2 nights on last week of summer - fishing seadon. Drunk guys banged doors of their fishing buddies on both ends of the building. I forgot to mentioned to the staff. Window blinds not enough to make room dark for sleeping.
Backs onto river which is very nice.

Dreckiges Zimmer, Freundlichkeit Personal ungenüg
4.0Sauberkeit des Zimmers und Bettwäsche nicht gerade einladend. Mann an der Rzeption darauf hingewiesen. Erster Kommentar: würde uns das Geld des vorrausbezahlten Zimmers wieder erstatten. Ihn darauf hingewiesen, dass wir hier gebucht haben und um ein sauberes Zimmer bitten. Er könne uns das nicht anbieten, da dass Reinigungspersonal nicht mehr im Haus sei. Auf vehemente Nachfrage bot er uns dann an, dass wir in einer Stunde wieder kommen können und dass Zimmer sauber sei. War es dann auch um 9.00 PM. Nachfrage, ob wir Frühstück dazu buchen können. Bietet er generell nicht an, da es zu viel Arbeit macht. Zimmer ist einfach, aber für den Preis kann man auch nicht mehr erwarten. Sauberkeit aber schon. Zugang Zimmer nur von externem "Balkon" möglich, wie oft in USA/Kanada. Fenster sind nur bedingt durch Holzrollo abzudunkeln, "Balkonlicht" brennt die ganze Nacht, lässt sich nicht ausschalten bzw. Zeitschalter.

Convenient location, unfriendly desk staff
6.0We stayed for two nights at the Campbell River Lodge by Riverside. Decor was simple and slightly outdated but this was not a problem given the price and perfect location for the numerous activities on offer in the area. Hotel majorly let down by check in staff. Nobody present unless a phone call was made, and after waiting for him to arrive at the desk we were served from behind a screen with no attempt at a welcome, only listing of hotel rules. Similar experience at checkout when we had to wait 10 minutes to drop off key because entire reception area was closed and no facility for key drop (this was after 9am and affected several families all in a rush to get to a set time ferry crossing).
