Nice property and great staff.
9.0The golden north inn is located near the airport of Faibanks. They provide an airport shuttle 24 hours a day, though you do need to call them to get the service. There is also a continental breakfast served, as of my stay, from 7am - 11am, with a potential to have an exception if you ask the staff the previous night. The room I stayed in was small, but I was traveling alone so this was not a concern.

2.0The price was low
− The room was strange. sleeping area was too claustrophobic. The mattress on the bed HAD to be 100 years old...the most uncomfortable bed I've ever tried to sleep in. Floor under the toilet was rotten and spongy. TV didn't work until we complained 3 times about it. The shuttle wasn't working so they hired us a taxi.
Was a great location, clean, breakfast was really well appointed grab and go.

For one night, the staff made up for the shortcomings of the room.
6.0The staff were excellent! They were kind enough to pick us up at the airport and when we had difficulty with the room, they were understanding and helpful. The breakfast was also fresh and tasty, a well-curated selection of options. There was a fridge and microwave in the room, too.
− The screens did not fit the windows and it is very mosquitoey in Fairbanks in summer … and the AC unit made a racket so it was very hard to sleep. Additionally the door did not latch closed fully so we couldn’t lock the door without throwing the bolt from the inside, making it hard to feel ok leaving the room with our belongings inside.
All in all happy with stay.
8.0Well priced. Very clean and nice green space just outside our door. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom a good size. Free shuttle to the airport.
− The rooms are very tiny. Planes come into land directly overhead. Which was a shock! But having said that we did not find it noisy during the night.
