9.0The location kind like alone not much light out
− The room was too small and the upper bunk bed was broken
Awesome stay , great place and will stay there again
10.0Nice and quiet and clean, will stay there again
− Suggest a vending machine for drinks and snacks because everything is closed at night
Cute, Quaint, Historic roadside motel. Updated rooms have a modern industrial country feel.
7.0Looks like the update/remodel of rooms is going well especially for the age of the property. Quality pots/pans and kitchen items. A/C and heating worked well. Even tho is a "row" type property - there was a level of privacy as well. Extra locks on the door was appreciated. Making it clear that laundry facilities are present is a huge bonus for folks on roadtrips. This could be used as an advertising piece. Maybe have extra towels, TP, etc, in the laundry room for self-service? With a polite sign - please only take what you need for your stay here - not a free supply for your trip...
− Note: Could use more towels in both kitchen & bath. A small table/chair/stool set under the TV in the corner of unit 7A would be helpful. There's no where to sit for coffee, eating or putting on shoes. Doesn't have to be large - something even originally made for a patio would be fine. The convenience of being able to sit and eat/go on a laptop, etc. outweighs ay crowding or TV above your head.

5.0Great location
− I have stayed here several times over the years and it was always a great place to stay. Unfortunately on this visit the room was filthy. When I contacted the staff they were nice enough to move us to another room that was much better but it still wasn't clean. Dust and Spider webs everywhere and dark hairs on the bath towels. Then they actually called me Picky! Wow we will never stay there again.Too bad.
Their communications are all about them & their needs, so we canceled
6.0We did not actually stay at the hotel, because their post-booking messages were quite off-putting
− Did not stay - cancelled my booking with an $80 penalty because the several emails and text message they sent after our prepayment/reservation felt like communication from a tax auditor, DMV, or HR manager. All about how they want guests to clean up, their expense for housekeeping, make sure to do the dishes, and so on. Felt more like they looked upon me as an employee or vendor/subcontractor than a guest. Concern that guests treat a place nice is acceptable, to a point. But when about 2/3rds of the communications are about them their needs, their expectations, and an inference that guests should have empathy and understanding for their situation ... with only passing reference to your needs, wants, and expectations - well, for us, we found other, more customer-oriented facilities and took the loss on most of the prepayment for the reservation. Also, we book travel exclusively through Booking.com - we were sent a message from the hotel company through Booking's message system asking us to use another site if we want to book additional days. That felt very awkward and a bit shady. Booking.com has excellent customer service and takes very good care of our interests, and offering to extend a booking outside of their payment and reservation system would remove those benefits and protections.
