Historical home with lots of character and charm.
8.0Great breakfast, the hosts very accomodating and personable. Plenty of room for the pets, also more quiet location relative to Mystic area (~ 20 minutes away). Ted and Carol were very hospitable and fun to talk to at breakfast. All of the staff was very help and helpful. Cool A/C in room, and cable TV.
− We selected a room from the Booking.com website as it was on the first floor (for convienence of the dog) and this was not available - we were upgraded to a larger room for an additional fee (+ $18). The room charge was not locked in as we expected. Booking website states no pet fee but this is incorrect - the pet fee is $35. Pet fee is listed on B&B website, bottom of home page. Owner said this is a common problem booking rooms through this website...YMMV.

10.0Everything is "unique" about Captain Grant's!...The perfect hosts Carol and Ted; the ambience; the beautiful furnishings; the cozy room with all the amenities; the absolutely fabulous breakfast w/ mimosas, pancakes with real maple syrup and blueberry topping on a exquisitely, complete totally antique, setting table arrangement; all the available extras...beer, wine, coffee. tea, brandy in the room, etc. A most wonderful experience

10.0Thank you to Ted and Carol for an amazing stay! Absolutely love this inn and the Adelaide room. Breakfast was more than I expected and it was a great time getting to know you and the other guests. Can’t wait to come back!
