8.0Very friendly staff, excellent value for money, particularly with the discount vouchers they provided for dinner and breakfast. Food portions were extremely generous! Too much to eat if anything!
− All fine. As it was a hot summer night, we left the windows open, and the seagulls were noisy, but I don't think the King William cam be held responsible for that!!
Lovely pub, great location, but drilling at 07:15 a.m.
8.0This was a lovely pub with a friendly atmosphere and excellent beer. We happily returned and spent an hour in the bar before closing time at 11:00. The room (no 1) was large and bright and faced out onto the high street. That did mean some traffic noise early in the morning, but if you are an early riser that's not a problem (though see below). I would recommend the place.
− One major problem. Someone started drilling in the downstairs bar and staircase right below the room at 7:15 in the morning. I don't understand how the landlord, knowing he had guests staying just above (and there was at least one other guest) would authorise this? Its just really thoughtless when you have paying guests. Even 8:00 would have been OK, but 7:15 just took the shine off the place.

− Shower was not working properly when I arrived staf were aware and fixed it promptly. Very hot during stay would have been nice to have a fan in room in this heat.
