Good location, bed n breakfast. Disappointing dinner and micro aggression from host let host down.
8.0Freedom to come and go as you please, access to the kitchen to make hot drinks
− We paid for breakfast and dinner and didn’t receive what we paid for. The host explained that his wife had made a mistake with the booking and dinner wasn’t included. We were happy to relocate as we specifically wanted half board service but it was eventually agreed that dinner would be cooked each day during breakfast and we can rewarm each evening. My mother is in her 80s and we had travelled from the uk, both being tired and very hungry, it wasn’t what we expected on or first night to be told no dinner until tomorrow evening. I brought food from a local restaurant for our first even meal which wasn’t part of our holiday plan. What we received was a fish cut in half to share accompanied with hard food for two dinners and curried mutton which was more bones then Meat for the remaining four dinners. The mutton was mass cooked on our second day and rewarmed over the week. We didn’t expect what we paid for would be of such limited portions. The host was very micro aggressive and our stay became very uncomfortable and awkward at times. The host wife made our stay more relaxed which helped. We were asked not to use certain mugs although they were left available to use. (Why not pack them away to avoid guest using them) On the last day we choose not to eat dinner as it was defrosted mutton again, the host offered us a boiled egg which was more of an insult than anything. All in all, if a mistake was made with the dinner aspect it would of been better to be told this service wasn’t available at the price we paid and we could have relocated, but we were made to feel as if our stay was a favour although we paid. I left my tripod at the property and arranged for it to be collected, we meet in St Ann bay, again the host was micro aggressive and my tripod was handed back to me in a set position (it had been used without my consent). Very uncomfortable and awkward whilst collecting my tripod.
Home in the Quiet Cool Hills
9.0This home in the hills was quiet and cool. The host made us feel so comfortable, like we were in our own home. He was caring and thoughtful. We had a good conversation over breakfast. The food was delicious and abundant.

Superb comfortable accommodation. Helpful owners. Would love to return one day. Highly recommended.
10.0Wow, what a fabulous retreat. Very comfortable accommodation set in the peaceful Jamaican countryside yet still within walking distance of Lime Hall village. All the attractions and beaches of the north coast are just a short car drive away. The owner, Mr Gray, together with Amy and Richard, made us feel very welcome and did all they could to make our stay comfortable. Breakfasts were great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the rates are reasonable and we would love to return for another visit someday.
− Note that from downtown St Ann's Bay you turn right into Gully Rd (by the Total Energies Gas Station - not the Texaco) and basically keep going uphill (staying right where the road forks) till you come to the Lime Hall Anglican Church, where you turn right for a few hundred yards down a partially unmade road. The road is a little rough and you have to take it slow, but we were fine with just a regular compact Toyota saloon.
Very good

My stay was absolutely delightful, and the host was very engaging and helpful.
8.0The place was quaint, quiet and peaceful. I particularly liked waking up to watch the sunrise from my balcony. The Host went out of his way to ensure my satisfaction. I went to be quiet, and I got that.
− The roads to get to the grounds were difficult.
