6.0Der Strand
− Die Hotelanlage ist aus unserer Sicht nur bedingt für Familien geeignet. Der Swimmingpool war zwar schön gestaltet, aber sehr klein. Es gab zwar ein flaches Becken für Kinder, dieses wirkte jedoch eher wie ein kleiner Bereich mit einer Rutsche und bot kaum Möglichkeiten zum Spielen oder Schwimmen. Positiv hervorzuheben sind das sehr gute Frühstück sowie der wunderschöne Strand. Das Wasser war kristallklar und die Strandpromenade hat uns ebenfalls sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist allerdings ein Nachteil. Das Hotel liegt relativ weit vom Zentrum von Chaweng entfernt, sodass man für Ausflüge oder Restaurantbesuche meist auf ein Taxi angewiesen ist. Das Personal war insgesamt freundlich und der Service war zufriedenstellend bis gut. Was unseren Aufenthalt jedoch deutlich beeinträchtigt hat, war die Geräuschkulisse an der Bar. Während unseres Aufenthalts waren viele israelische Touristen im Hotel, die sich dort regelmäßig bis spät aufhielten und mit mitgebrachtem Alkohol laut feierten. Dadurch war es insbesondere am Abend häufig sehr laut, was wir als sehr störend empfanden. Insgesamt überzeugt das Hotel vor allem durch den schönen Strand und das gute Frühstück. Die kleinen, dunklen Zimmer, die eingeschränkte Familienfreundlichkeit sowie die teilweise starke Lärmbelästigung haben unseren Aufenthalt jedoch deutlich getrübt. Die Zimmer waren sehr klein und überhaupt nicht geräumig. Wir waren mit drei Personen unterwegs, darunter ein sechsjähriges Kind. Obwohl wir das Zimmer für drei Personen gebucht hatten, war kein zusätzliches Bett vorhanden. Für ein Zustellbett sollten wir dann noch 1.000 Baht extra bezahlen, was ich als unverschämt empfand. Das Zimmer war zudem sehr dunkel und für drei Personen viel zu eng. Die einzige Tür führte direkt auf die Terrasse, wodurch ständig Moskitos ins Zimmer gelangen konnten. Wir haben uns deshalb insgesamt sehr unwohl gefühlt.
