Have a night sleep at this motel with wedding dinner going on the ground floor on the motel. The room is with basic equipment; Bed sheet is not clean enough (stained) and weird smell on the room when we get in too. Nothing much nearby the motel except a mall and night market within walking distance.

Stayed 2 nights in Joy Motel. The room was not clean as i expected, with lots of stains on the bedspread But cheap and well located. Very Clean bathroom, Good Air cond, Very limited walking space with one chair & One old table with cabinet which was very smelly ( cockroach ) One very bad experience when leaving the room i made sure the room is locked, but upon return we found the door unlocked. There was a reception counter without a receptionist. Had to call the phone number on the reception counter to collect & return the keys. I don't want to describe how that person looked like ....

The motel reached the basic need for a traveller. But, the motel did't provide the hot water and the small refrigenerator...i think it will make incovenience for some traveller ... i like the air-conditioner, it is cool enough.

Don't take your chances with Joy Motel

I made reservation with Joy Motel via Agoda in Nov 2014 for a 4D3N stay on 6-9 Jun 2015. Reservation was made 6 months in advance for total 9 pax. In March I called Joy Motel to reconfirm my reservation made under Agoda. Contacted Joy Motel again 1 week prior to my travel & she confirmed my reservation. I got a shock when Agoda contacted me 3 days prior to my departure that Joy Motel is unable to honor my reservation as they are fully booked !!! This is unbelievable as I have called personally to confirm my reservation. Leaving me with such short notice and having no option I agreed to change my reservation to another location recommended by Agoda. This is my first trip to Langkawi & I rely heavily on Trip Advisor's recommendation.
