Beware of booking at Mooddarra motel Innisfail

− The room was not particularly clean, it smelt strongly of stale cigarettes, was very run down and old, even the curtains were coming down in parts ,the office looked pretty much the same and the other clientele around us made us feel distinctly unsafe. We could not stay in a room that smelt and looked that bad. We did not stay there but went and told the owner we felt the room was not for us. He only said our rooms are old but clean! He did not offer to reimburse us and we didn't ask, it was well worth forfeiting our money. It is rated on booking.com as 7.8. That is definitely not correct and others should beware before booking there.
We were misled by the advertising and ratings on Bookings.com , did not stay, and believe the site needs to investigate
1.0We booked and paid. When we arrived we were shocked by the poor quality of the rooms and decided not to stay.Depressing and smelt of smoke. Their ratings on bookings. Com are a joke and we are angry we were misled and lost about $$250 as did our friends we were travelling with .
