Avoid this hotel - unless serious improvements are made

The bedsheets were clean. Quiet area. Decent amount of parking space on the local road.

− Dirty! The carpet was filthy, had clumps of previous occupants' hair on it, and other dirt. Dirt on single bed frame. Dirt ingrained around the bathroom and a very suspect brown mark on the door, which I chose not to inspect further. Flimsy shower head which felt like it was going to fall out of the wall. Just very tired and run down hotel. We did not have time to report these as we arrived and left straight away to an event. We were hoping to report all these on checkout, but there was NODBODY there the following morning, even to provide breakfast which people had already paid for when booking. There were other guests milling around the breakfast room area wondering what to do, as there was literally nobody working at the hotel there. We found a phone number on reception to call 'if we needed assistance', but it was constantly engaged. These other guests were furious - one was from the US (I was embarrassed on behalf of the UK!) who said she had never encountered anywhere like this before, and another was a gentleman who had many years of hotelier experience, who again had not encountered a place like this before. I had to leave at that point, so did not see what happened after that. I paid £174 for ONE night for ONE room!! Absolutely disgraceful.

Staff cordiale, letto comodo, buona posizione

− Pulizia insufficiente (muffa nella stanza, polvere, moquette sporca), struttura vecchia con scarsa manutenzione, camera non corrispondente alla descrizione (più piccola, senza la scrivania indicata), servizi scarsi (abbiamo dovuto chiedere asciugamani e asciugacapelli che mancavano, i prodotti da bagno comprendevano solo shampoo e una saponetta usata).

Cheap and cheerful

Nice and cool during the summer heatwave. The cheapest stay in Hastings for the time we stay in July. Nice big garden and small bar you can make use of. Cheap and cheerful guesthouse.

− The toilet didn't work very well and was hard to flush and so the bathroom smelt at times. The room and hotel could have benefitted from some TLC. Not the most quiet and tranquil room and was quite loud at times. Could smell smoke at times throughout the hotel.

We were there for one night, the room met our needs.
