Claire and David, the hosts, were fantastic and really kind. They went above and beyond to support us, even after we had checked out, by letting us stay in the hotel to use the facilities and even dropping us off to our bus stop. The room was lovely and spacious, the breakfast was really delicious and had such a variety, and the cakes served at afternoon tea were 10/10! The views of the lakes and mountains out of the windows in the hotel were incredible. The games room downstairs and the upstairs lounge with the log fire were highlights! It was a great stay and we will definitely be back!

− The temperature of the shower water kept changing, and the privacy window in our bedroom unfortunately wasn’t very private, so we had to keep our curtains closed the whole time in the room. Other than that, couldn’t fault anything!

My experience in Troldhaugen

The couple were very accommodating to their guests. Easy to talk to and ask ideas. Breakfast is superb. The score 10 is not enough. Their idea of "Adults Only" accommodation is really such a beautiful one. I highly recommend this joint not only for snow season. I will spread this well mannered-couple's bussiness 🥰 to my friends.

Has a nice home feel. Nice sitting areas to relax. Pool table was great to play on. Included breakfast was lovey. The owners are very respectful and lovely people.

− Could not use the kitchen after 9pm as it’s over the top of another room. No kettles or toasters or refrigerators in room. Not permitted to eat any hot foods in room.
