− I was given a room right at back, the path to get to it was through the garden with no lighting, the coffee mugs were not properly cleaned, there was no phone to contact to office in case of an emergency or to call for clean cups, the property was old inside and felt damp even though it was February. No value in rate charged

Great stay in Melrose

Gorgeous small boutique hotel in Melrose. Felt very safe and a short uber drive to Rosebank mall. Great Greek restaurant nearby which the owner will drive you home after your meal. Henry the hotels driver is great and a good guide for Johannesburg. Sue and her wonderful staff were lovely and a pleasure to spend time with. Room lovely and big and great breakfasts.
