A Palestinian welcome in Haifa
9.0George and his family showed typical Palestinian hospitality and made me very welcome. They went out of their way to be helpful and ensure my visit was enjoyable. George was full of useful advice about places to visit and was even willing to drive me to the Bahai Gardens and ensure I knew how to walk through the different sections of it. He also assisted me with catching a train to Akko and Tel Aviv as my Hebrew is non existent and the travel smart card can be confusing. Breakfast was amazing- so generous and delicious! The room was very comfortable with a kettle for coffee and a fridge. Home from home.
− The only difficulty is that the guest house is above, but right next to a very busy road This makes sitting outside a less pleasant experience- although the views across the sea are beautiful. Otherwise, the location is ideal, close to Elijah's cave and the Gardens.
