Some huge plusses, but some sad negatives.
6.0Location is excellent, right on the beach and close to everything. The sunset view from the balcony is breathtaking! Staff are very good - friendly and efficient. Car parking on site and plentiful. Nice breakfast. Dog friendly!
− Hotel is well overdue for a revamp and looking very run down, which is a shame. The price to stay is excessive bearing this in mind.
A lovely, enjoyable first stay at the Midland - we will certainly be returning.
7.0Breakfast was very good as was our afternoon bar meal, both of which were served by very efficient and personable staff. Our room was spacious and contained many unique design features.
− Some of the decor and furniture in the public areas are looking a little tired and worn - the stair carpet and corridor carpet in particular, the beautiful woodwork in the bedroom needs some care and attention in order to bring out the beauty of the wood grain.
