Great hotel locqted in the old city center with a Tibetan charm

Extremely well located hotel in the center of the old town with a beautiful view of the monastery. Staff were very kind and always happy to help. The room is spacious and decorated with local furnitures making the atmosphere pleasant. The bed is also comfortable.

− Noisy until late night because of the bar and KTV located nearby. The staff relocated us to a room where the sound was a bit less loud. The breakfast was poor the some days (no choice at all).

− Ouderwetse kamer die opknapbeurt nodig heeft, sanitair moet vernieuwd worden, douche Onhygienisch, afvoerbuizen maken reutelend lawaai en er hangt een geurtje. Enkele beglazing waarbij het achterraam gebarsten was en uitgaf op een achterkant van een keuken. Dit zou een boutique hotel moeten voorstellen? Buiten de pompeuze inkomhal was daar veder niets van te merken, buiten de exorbitante prijs.

Posizione perfetta nella Old Town di Shangri-La con terrazza che guarda il tempio di Guishan, davvero scenografico al tramonto e di sera. Staff caloroso e attento, accoglienza con tè allo zenzero e piccoli gesti che fanno la differenza. Bellissima atmosfera tibetana negli interni, camere confortevoli e spazi comuni piacevoli per rilassarsi dopo le visite.

− La colazione potrebbe essere migliorata, soprattutto per quanto riguarda la scelta delle opzioni occidentali

What stood out was the hotel staff, the hotel location, the lobby decor, and the room. Our taxi could not stop in front of the hotel, but the staff came out to help with our luggage right after our driver called them. We were received by their staff with hot ginger tea and white Tibetan scarves. Our room is spacious and comfortable. The bedding and towels were very clean. There was a heater in the shower too. We had a good rest. We also appreciated that they allowed us to chill at the hotel and served us tea while we were waiting for our flight at night. Don't forget to check out the view at their wine bar on the second floor, where you can see the nearby temple in the GuiShan Park.

− While the hotel was good, it was quite a lot more expensive compared to other places we stayed in the province with similar quality. The breakfast could be better, although they have good coffee, which you don't always get from other hotels or home stays in the area.

A fine hotel but on the wrong side of town.

Beautiful place with an upstairs terrace with fabulous views of the temples on the hill. Room was not huge but perfectly adequate. Staff were very attentive and ensured we had plenty of ginger tea. Breakfast was excellent.

− Two niggles. The hotel was a bit off the beaten track, on the wrong side of town. And according to the booking the hotel was supposed to supply free transport to and from the station/airport but in fact they made us pay for transportation when we left.
