We went for the view and it delivered that and more.
9.0That view! It was the main reason we booked there - and it delivered. It was the perfect spot for pure relaxation and we had the added benefit of good weather so spent hours at the pool looking out towards Knysna and Belvidere. In addition- the rooms were comfortable and clean, the hosts and staff friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were good and we made use of the honesty bar . We didnt use the other communal areas but there were people in the lounge and bar at times. The property is spacious with a lot of options, easy to find a peaceful spot.
− It is an older property but not fair to use that as a negative. There is a comfortable and welcoming ambience and that is more important.
Not what we expected and/or booked
1.0The location of the Villa is perfect.
− The family unit - no luxury at all. Faded plastic chairs, torn gas braai cover. Dead insects on floors & windows. Dirty walls, broken cabinet doors. Mould in shower (2nd bedroom). No TV in main bedroom. No shower in main bathroom. Mismatched floor tiles. No river view when seated in lounge.
A little local taste of Italy with great SA service.
