7.0Het is een prachtig ruim huis op een prachtige plaats. Een hele grote tuin uitkijkend op een tropisch groen paradijs. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd. We hadden het hele huis met zijn vijven. Er zijn 4 kamers dus de kinderen hadden allemaal een eigen kamer. Dat vonden ze wel heel fijn. De veranda is heerlijk overdag. Met name de hangmat was een groot succes.
− Ik zie dat de meeste recensies ontzettend lovend zijn. Daarom waren mijn verwachtingen heel hoog. De keuken is gedateerd en wat vies. Door de kieren in de ramen (het gaas was bij 1 raam stuk) hadden we elke avond wel ongedierte binnen, zoals een mot en een vleermuis. Dat maakt dat wij elke avond om half 6 de luiken sloten. Er staat zoveel in het huis dat het moeilijk schoon te houden is. Het geeft een idyllisch beeld, maar ik prefereer schoon. De huishoudster is er tot 15 uur en is heel aardig, maar wel aanwezig. Ze kijkt je een beetje het huis uit als je nog niet op pad gaat. Het huis en dan met name het dak en de ramen boven zijn wat gehorig, dus een flinke regenbui zorgt ervoor dat je niet rustig kan slapen door het lawaai van de regen.

10.0A great villa in a beautiful rural setting. It is very well maintained and comfortable. Being in the mountains of central Dominica means of is considerably cooler than at the cost. Carla was very helpful in organising trips/walks through WhatsApp even though she was in the UK at the time. Highly recommended.

Amazing Dominica Stay
10.0If I were the Michelin commissioner, I would award Happy Villa with three stars: Worth for an independent tour. This place has everything, plus your host will make you feel at home. Our stay was simply too short to enjoy all the options this accommodation offers. It is also positioned well for island exploration. Oh, and not mentioning superb breakfast starting with a healthy shot. You will be in good hands and with a full stack of options for every day of exploration of charming Dominica.

7.0Claudia, who prepared breakfast, for us was very helpful and kind. The place is in a good location close to many falls.
− The owner would text me from England a few times a day asking to pay her separately. I gave my cc information to booking.com thinking the place has been paid for with my cc. However, she’s under a certain plan to avoid fees. She uses booking.com to just advertise and help her hold a spot. We had to pay her via a link she sent. We did this once I made sure we weren’t being double charged. She even texted me 3 in the morning and woke me up! It did add stress to our vacation, and I wouldn’t stay there again to avoid any issues.
