Super leuk hotel

9.0

Leuke traditionele Japanse kamer. Eten was verrassend goed evenals het Aziatisch ontbijt. Ook de publieke onsen zijn een leuke ervaring.

Volg niet Google maps maar rijdt iets verder het dorp door tot de stoplichten.

Loved it. Staff, location, room, food, onsen, everything was great. Would definitely stay again.

Wifi a little choppy, but, I'm not there for the wifi.

女将ご主人のお人柄。 到着した時にとでも施設内と温泉街の過ごし方を 教えてくださいました。

温泉の温度が熱すぎてはいれませんでした。 温泉街のお湯が全体的に熱いようです。

A great place to stay in Shibu Onsen.

It was our first Ryokan and the staff helped explain everything and were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. And the futon beds were much more comfortable than I was expecting. This location has access to the 9 public onsens in town.

Must stay if you visit Japan!

10.0

We had a wonderful stay at Ichinoyu Katei in Yamanouchi and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing Japanese experience. The onsen facilities were a real highlight. Not only does the hotel have its own baths, but you can also book a private onsen for a more peaceful experience. On top of that, at check-in you’re given a key that lets you access several nearby public onsens in the village, all within a very short walking distance. It really adds to the charm of staying in the area and makes onsen-hopping incredibly easy and enjoyable. The location is excellent as well. It’s very close to Yamanouchi Station and the famous Snow Monkey Park, and the hotel even provides a free shuttle service to both, which made getting around completely hassle-free. We also loved the traditional touches throughout the stay. The hotel provides yukata outfits, and it was lovely to see that most guests wear them around the village—it really adds to the atmosphere. The breakfast was a fantastic traditional Japanese spread, beautifully presented and very satisfying. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel, which is honestly our only regret, especially since everything else was such high quality. That said, there are plenty of great restaurant options nearby, so you won’t go hungry. What truly stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly attentive, warm, and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Overall, a memorable and authentic stay. The only thing we would change is making sure to try the hotel dinner next time!
