10.0A fun hostel with lots of character! Staff was friendly and helpful, and the property had lots of charm. Bear in mind, it is a hostel, not a hotel; if you aren't used to staying in a hostel, this is not the place for you. Local breakfast places are incredible. We would stay here again.

2.0Very dirty and very smelly. There were used q-tips on the floor and the place smelled like fecal matter.
The Purple Palace is a gem. Bring friends.
10.0Great spot. Great cool hostel experience. Great service , super clean. An excellent base for exploring Algonquin park solo or with friends. The video is chill with a bit of rock n roll. Roland will treat you right. Great attention to detail in following the rules and setting up out side. Civilized beer and local tips abound. I will be back.

8.0We enjoyed watching the sunset from the common room on the third floor. A good place for an overnight especially when cold and rain did not make camping attractive.
