Location

− I brought my dog and was given pet bedding/sheets which was great and helpful but upon checking in the front office handed me sheets and said, “There’s a little blood stain on the sheet but we’ve washed it.” I thought it was a joke but sure enough there was a blood stain.

It was a wonderful cute set up! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and the rooms were very very clean! Over all loved this place!!

Avoid the two rooms at the back of the building – the basement. Poor value for money.

− A place focused on money, not on the customer. Firstly, we arrived on a Monday; there had been fires in the area since Saturday. If the establishment hadn’t been so greedy for money, it would at least have informed us about possible closures and given us the option to reschedule. Nothing of the sort happened. In fact, from the hot springs through to the trails and other sporting attractions – everything was closed for several days. Then there’s the issue of health and safety arising from breathing in unhealthy air. The lady at reception was so lazy that she even said everything was fine and we could go on the trail. That was a lie. And now the room. . The one at the back of the building. Well, that was the description. But there was no mention that it was a basement, almost like a cellar. Only later did I come across negative reviews, and they all said the same thing. Nothing has changed. The room is not even two metres high, as you can see in the photo. That so-called room was as dark as a cellar, it stank, the bed was a disaster, with springs popping out everywhere. What’s more, the air conditioning was a joke – you had to use it because there’s no ventilation in the room. This is a room fit for animals, not for people. I haven’t had such a dreadful experience in ages. I’m giving it a 1 because the price is like that of a luxury hotel and the overall rating is vastly overrated – it’s downright misleading. The worst place I’ve stayed in for years. I went to the receptionist to ask if I could change rooms, as even the internet wasn’t working properly there. They told me there were no other rooms available. Another lie. It was available on the booking site and I’d even taken a photo…
