I liked the location and one staff lady who was there on 15 th of Oct around 12 pm.

− I was very surprised by the attitude of the staff at this YHA branch, especially after having very positive experiences at other branches. Unfortunately, my experience here was very different, and I was treated rudely on two separate occasions for no apparent reason. The first incident happened around 1:30–2:00 pm, when I went to reception to ask for the key to the luggage room so I could retrieve something from my luggage. An earlier member of staff had kindly offered to let me leave my luggage there. However, a woman with short brown hair, who appeared to be in her late forties, repeatedly questioned why I had luggage in the room, as though I had no right to leave it there. Eventually, she checked my name, saw that I was checking in that day, and abruptly explained that she simply needed to check. The verification itself was perfectly reasonable, but the way she handled the situation was unnecessarily rude and made me feel as though I had done something wrong. The second incident occurred around 3 pm, when I returned to check in. A young woman with long, dark hair immediately gave me an unfriendly look and loudly announced that my card was not working and that she needed my card to process the transaction. I politely explained that I had experienced this problem repeatedly at this particular hostel and had already reported it to Booking.com.( and also to my bank) I travel frequently for work and have never encountered similar problems at other hostels. Despite this explanation, she remained dismissive and judgemental, loudly telling me to contact my bank or Booking.com, even though I had just explained that I had already reported the issue. Both interactions were unpleasant and completely unnecessary. I understand that staff sometimes need to verify information or resolve payment issues, but there is no excuse for treating guests with such disrespect. The difference between this branch and the other YHA locations I have visited was striking.

Location, comfy bed and fresh clean linens. Staff special mention goes Louise for her kindness and professionalism

− Unfortunately I shared with 2 big snorers which affected my sleep. Got given earplugs by Louise for my 2nd night which helped a bit Kitchen could do with a second kettle. Also kitchen gets rammed, unfortunately other people are selfish and inconsiderate. Just be aware

L’hôtel est très propre, et le personnel de la réception est extrêmement gentil, respectueux et accueillant. Que Dieu les protège et les préserve ! Contrairement à certaines expériences que j’ai vécues dans des hôtels à Londres, où j’ai parfois ressenti de la discrimination de la part du personnel de la réception, je me sens ici respectée et bien accueillie. Chaque fois que je voyage à Londres, je choisis de séjourner dans cet hôtel, car c’est pour moi l’un des meilleurs hôtels. J’apprécie particulièrement le fait qu’il ne soit pas entièrement mixte et qu’il propose des chambres réservées aux femmes, ce qui me permet de me sentir plus à l’aise et en sécurité. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour sa gentillesse, son respect et son professionnalisme. Que Dieu vous protège ! Vous méritez vraiment ces compliments.
