I've been a Marriott customer for many years and this stay did not even come close to my expectation

Breakfast

− The elevators were not operating and we were placed on the second floor. Had to carry all of our luggage up the stairs to the 2nd floor and I am 77 years old with a bad back.

Horrible experience

The room was fine. The A/C was sluggish.

− No elevator. Did not get a courtesy call or no noticed posted on the website about the elevator not working. I have a disability and made my reservation three weeks in advance noting in my reservation that I need a bottom floor room that was handicapped accessible. When I checked in I was told there were no bottom floors available and people from the upper floors had bern moved down. When asked what I was too do because using the stairs was very difficult and dangerous for me. The desk person said I could cancel my reservation and find a room elsewhere or use the stairs. The desk person did take my luggage to my room for me. This experience was not worth the amount of money and I will not stay at this property again.

The room and staff really nice. The pitfall was that the elevator did not work.

The breakfast was good and the location was great. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great.

− There was no elevator working and we were placed on the second floor. My husband had a recent hip surgery and it was difficult to go up and down with suitcases and so we took up items from the cases and left them in the car. The room had a potent sewer gas smell as soon as we opened the door.. It was horrible even with the bathroom door closed it was horrific! We thought someone had just used the toilet but it was not abating through the evening and it was obvious there was something wrong. We knew the hotel was very full and if we asked for another room it might be farther down the hall or worse up another flight of stairs or two. I have never stayed in a room with a horrible sewer smell. I have stayed in hundreds of hotel rooms and never had this experience. It was disgusting. Then to receive an invoice with all kinds fees just added to the experience. We probably will never stay at a Fairfield but go back to Holiday Inn Express. LA Quinta, Best Western Plus.

I paid way to much for all the inconveniences
