4.0The staff were welcoming and polite, the setting wonderful and the bedroom large with a great view and reasonably well decorated. But the public areas are crowded with cheap furniture in poor taste. The food was adequate and the policy of serving it at one large table is socially awkward. A “table d’hote” works only if there is a genuine host putting the effort in to make an evening work. The hotel benefits from there being little competition in the area, but it needs investment and better management to justify the price.
