Ok hotel, but felt more like a hostel, no mosquito net over the bed but gaps under balcony and main door made us feel uneasy sleeping there. Staff friendly and helped organise taxi when leaving . Overall ok for the location / use for few hours sleep before the climb.

Decent place to stay but room for improvement

A group of 6 of us stayed here for 2N to climb Adam’s Peak. Check-in: easy, only required 1 person’s passport details. Receptionist was very attentive, kind and helpful. We went to climb Adam’s Peak at 1:30AM and the receptionist organised for us to have food packed up for take-away. There was a whiteboard next to reception desk which contained lots of helpful tips. Lily Suite: My partner and I stayed in the junior honeymoon suite which was 2 levels and had 3 balconies. One of the balconies had a great view of Adam’s Peak. We enjoyed being able to sit up there with a cup of tea and look at all the greenery. A negative was that the bedroom was on the upper level while the bathroom was on the lower level. My other friends stayed in the cabana suite and they had a large window in the bathroom which was facing the outside. There was no curtain but the windows were tinted. My friends felt uncomfortable as they could see a man standing in the house being built next door with the potential for this person to view inside their bathroom. The shower was nifty but there’s limited hot water so you do need to be savvy with water usage. We also didn’t realise we needed to turn on the hot water so it took an hour for water to heat. The area: not much to do in town aside from climbing Adam’s Peak and eating. Some places do serve beer around town. Check-out: they don’t take card and we had to pay the cost of our room in cash (45K LKR) which was inconvenient.

Nice family-driven hotel close by Adam's Peak

Grand Adam's Peak is a really nice family-driven hotel with really helpful personel. We got really good information regarding the climb for Adam's Peak and they also made us pancakes that were ready when we got up at 2 a.m. A good variety of food and some really good rice and curry. We also got great help with booking transportation to Hatton the day after the climb. The view of Adam's peak is amazing. The rooms and interior is a bit weird, but in a charming way. Fills all the requirements for going up Adam's Peak, but wouldn't stay for longer than a couple of nights (which goes for Dalhouise as well).

Hotellet ligger i gåafstand til Adams Peak. Vi var dog meget skuffede over værelset ift. den forholdsmæssigt dyre pris sammenlignet med andre hoteller. Der var problemer med wifi, til tider var der intet vand og det værste af det hele. Værelset var ikke tæt, så der kom konstant myg ind om natten, hvilket betød at vi ingen søvn fik. Myggene var utrolig aggressive og uden et myggenet, kan I selv forestille jer hvordan det har været. Derfor blev det desværre til en dårlig oplevelse, trods det ellers venlige og imødekommende personale.
