10.0Very nice place to stay with wonderful breakfast. It’s clean and comfortable, quiet and cosy. Very warm and welcoming host. The place is easy access to the Ohakune town centre and the ski fields.
Lovely place to spend with family and friends. I would come back again next time.
10.0Property manager was very nice and easy to talk to. My family needed to leave early to go to Whakapapa during our stay and he offered to provide early breakfast for us at 6:30am.
A perfect place to stay!
10.0The river Lodge was one of the best places we have ever stayed. Dani was an excellent host and very helpful. I had a bad cold actually strep throat and he was helpful in arranging for a doctor‘s visit and my husband lost a crown and he made arrangements for a dentist. Our room was quite lovely, well appointed, and the bathroom was very modern and updated. Excellent shower and extremely comfortable bed. The room actually had a toaster, coffee maker, small heater, refrigerator, etc. Our breakfast was delicious and he was willing to cook eggs or anything else that we asked for. The grounds were impeccable, with many flowers and beautiful trees. There was a comfortable sitting area as well, by a fireplace, and although we did not use it while we were there, it was available to us. He gave us a good recommendation for a restaurant which we enjoyed. This is a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it.

10.0Alles war bestens. Daniel ist extrem gastfreundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist sehr friedlich und ruhig. Das Haus hat Charme. Das Frühstück ist besonders toll. Es gibt liebevoll angerichtete Teller mit Obst, Wurst, Käse und frisch zubereitete Eierspeisen. Hier bleibt kein Wunsch unerfüllt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Daniel war auch behilflich bei der Organisation des Busses zum Tongariro Crossing, der einen an der Lodge abholt und zurückbringt. Super Service.
