Awful hotel, more like a doss house than a hotel,do not book this.
2.0Lovely location right in the middle of Pembroke town, near the castle. Great area for walking and the castle guided tour was a great experience.
− Very run down, nothing like the pictures on the booking.com website. Talking to the locals the restaurant associated with the pub had been closed for years. We arrived on a Friday evening and although the pub was open there was nobody in it and this was the same throughout the night. We went to another pub for our meal and they said people didn’t go to the middle gate as it was so rundown and the beer wasn’t fresh. The room said there was tea and coffee facilities but the long life milk cartons were 4 (four) months out of date and came out as solid lumps. On Saturday we couldn’t stop the shower from running and although we rang the number for emergencies in the room we got no answer but left a message informing them of the problem. We finally managed to contact them at 9pm at night when they told us they couldn’t keep up with the work and would like to sell up. The rooms were never cleaned or made up and the tea and coffee was never replenished. On Sunday the pub never even opened. This property should not be advertised on booking.com as the images shown do not reflect the venue and it put a distinct downer on our long weekend. There was nobody to hand the keys over to when we left so we just left them in the door to the room. This hotel is more like a doss house than a hotel and I feel booking.com misadvertised the property.

10.0Comfortable bed with well laundered white bedding and doona. Impeccable new looking bathroom. Whole place looked like recently painted and all new looking carpets. It was comfortably compact with bed, bedside- table, wardrobe, chest of drawers, kettle, tea, coffee supplied. Had my own key to room and front door just like my own home. Great position, right in middle of town.
− Nothing

4.0Location was central in the town and not too far from a local co-op, which was handy, however, because the room was facing the street it was very noisy, particularly at night.
− Noisy room, trash not taken out or towels and toiletries and tea/coffee not replaced, until had to chase owner for these things the following day. Room relatively cramped and attachments of furniture on the wall were loose. Shower never stayed consistent, either very cold or boiling hot. It was unclear if the tap in the room was drinking water and very very difficult to find the host even by telephone call and never were shown physically about how to access the car park. Lack of accessibility to the staff was a big problem every morning.
Room only- not a hotel.
4.0Central with good parking and comfy beds
− Thought I’d booked into a hotel - but it’s just room hire. No restaurant, manned reception, breakfast facilities or bar!
Being managed by a friend because owner was il, so check in was quite late, but they did a good job.
