10.0My family of four had a pleasant stay here. The property was exactly as my son had requested - a woodsy lodge near a lake. Our room was tight but it was clean and we had enough soap, towels, etc. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was very good. We had to wait a bit to be served, but we were told that as we were seated. If a restaurant is busy, then I assume that it's because the food and service are good, which is was. The lake setting is very pretty and we were blessed with a beautiful sunrise in the morning. We were able to walk across the street to buy snacks and just down the road is a shop that sells homemade fudge and crafts. We really enjoyed our time spent here and would stay again.

Did the job.
8.0Not a bad place to stay. Not a lot close by. Showers were small but clean.

10.0We checked in and were told we had been upgraded to a lodge room, rather than a hotel unit room, which based on other reviews was a good thing. Pros: Our room had two beds and a sleeper sofa/loveseat. It was relatively clean. Tiny tiny tiny bathroom, but whatever. Good satellite TV and free WiFi. Restaurant and bar onsite. They were ok - nothing special. But this lodge has a spectacular location. Trail Lake is gorgeous. Moose Pass is a cute little community, conveniently close to a lot of things to do. Now for the Cons: this property needs maintenance! It is falling apart. Mattresses are bad. Carpet was ripped and falling apart, balusters on the stairs were falling apart, the dock was not usable. Log siding and wooden trim all deteriorating. Just heartbreaking. It was probably so beautiful back in the day. Please show it some love!
Good for a night's stopover
8.0Beautiful views, a nice restaurant with good food and a bar. It’s within driving distance of Seward and several hiking trails, and sits right next to a gorgeous lake where you can go kayaking. The rooms are decent, though the internet connection isn’t very reliable.
