Charming little place

The accommodation really felt a bit secluded even though it was close to both shops and activities. Quite calm area and the privacy was good. The cabin was at a comfortable size, and the beds were great! Aircondition too. Nice little pool with hammocks and sun beds in the common area.

− It didn't bother us at all, but the bathroom and kitchen area was a little outdated. Still, it was perfectly clean and functional! Let' just call it rustic. It was a charming little place.

Decent value for money, good proximity to Airlie Beach and surrounds. Bedrooms are decent.

− Where do I start. This place is not as advertised. Booking.com stated we would have a patio, kitchenette with a hob, and a drying rack (to name a few) - none of which we had. Asked reception about this and whether we could move room - to which they said they were fully booked, which obviously can’t be helped, but they shouldn’t be advertising a room that they aren’t offering and I would like to think a room without these amenities would be charged at a cheaper rate. Additionally, the room shown on the website does not in any way reflect the room we were given: the room online looked new-ish, the room we got was nothing like it. If you do stay, avoid Cabin 1 as it is missing a lot of what is promised online. Dishes in the cupboard were dirty, not that we used any. The bathroom had quite a bit of mould, the shower was not great (although this could be due to water restrictions etc in this area, I am not sure). The bathroom also had a horrible smell for the duration of our stay when using the taps. Not sure what it was, but it is not pleasant. Both the bedrooms have A/C, however with no controller, so during the day it’s simply too hot to be in the room. It’s okay at night, but if it was any hotter during our stay, this would be a problem. Parking is limited, if you get back late you have to either find somewhere to squeeze in or park elsewhere (there is a Church car park next door). WiFi is very temperamental if that’s something you’re bothered about, phone reception in the area is good, however! I would personally avoid staying here unless it’s substantially cheaper than elsewhere and you just want a bed to sleep in.
