Great fun in the La Fortuna oasis
10.0Fantastic stay We were allocated a room close to reception which worked well for us. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was large and also clean. Room service was fantastic. Breakfast was included and was fantastic. Wife loved the hash browns!!! One one of the mornings we had to leave early for a tour and they provided a breakfast box for us all. Kids enjoyed the pools (especially the slides) and the staff (and food) at the pool bar were great! Would recommend.
Lush jungle resort
10.0The resort was large and well-maintained. We stayed in one of the buildings far from the amenities, so you had to either walk a long way, drive, or take a shuttle. Although we originally didn't like being that far, we grew to like it because it was quiet and peaceful. We had a nice terrace from which we could probably see the volcano if it was not clouded over the entire time. But we also saw lots of birds, wild pigs, and a large band of koatis that stayed around all the time. Breakfast buffett was ample. We also ate lunch and dinner at the restaurant, and were pleased with the food quality. The pools were very nice but crowded, though, as they sell day passes to outside guests. The pool with a slide was not heated, so our kids were disappointed and chose not to get into the cold water. It rained a lot, so things don't dry on the terrace. We used a clothesline strung in the bathroom to dry our clothes. This resort is far from town, so you definitely need a car to go anywhere. But they had zip-lining and horse riding on the premises.
Great resort with amazing pools
10.0We stayed here during spring break trip with our older children. We stayed two nights in rooms on the road above the pools. The rooms were nice and had outdoor area but no view. The pools are the reason I wanted to write a review: they were amazing! And better maintained than any pools I've seen elsewhere: fully drained and thoroughly cleaned every night. Of course that means when they close at 10pm they are really closed. They open again at 10am, but since some are filled earlier, you can go in once they're available. One downside as a resort guest is that the pools are available for use by day trippers. So they get busier as those people arrive. And the pools are all ages, so be prepared for little ones wherever they pop up. There are pools for the little tikes, but they aren't limited to those pools.
Beautiful Hotel!
10.0Ready to come back in a heartbeat—we truly loved everything about Hotel Los Lagos. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for, and the hot springs are simply amazing—such a perfect place to relax. The food at both restaurants was consistently fresh and delicious. We especially enjoyed the Lemnos Wet Bar and found ourselves going back there often. Every employee we encountered was friendly and welcoming, and a special shoutout to Gustavo at the wet bar for going above and beyond. It’s clear that Hotel Los Lagos has put a lot of thought into creating a great guest experience. We especially appreciated the convenient towel service and the spacious rooms that comfortably sleep six. It all added up to a memorable and easy, enjoyable vacation.
You don't want our money
2.0What kind of hotel doesn't want bonus business, we are here to grab our zip linners hot springers who were told we could join them for drinks before leaving, paid of course, but staff won't let us in, too sad, we'll take our dollars elsewhere
Bubbling massage chairs and a steep hill
10.0OMG I will be dreaming about the bubbling massage chairs for the rest of my life. A great stay. The only downfall was that our room was up a VERY steep hill - I am in fairly good shape but my legs were killing me every night! Good practice for the Fortuna waterfall though...
