Super fijn begin van onze reis
9.0Het personeel was heel behulpzaam en super aardig. De kamers waren echt heel leuk en schoon. We hebben heerlijk gegeten en ontbeten. Zeker een aanrader. Het dorpje is ook erg leuk. Voor een eerste nacht na de boor naar Dover een goede plek om je reis door Engeland te beginnen.
Great pub and staff, shame we had a bad stay

− Our room was so hot neither of us got hardly any sleep in the two nights we stayed We wondered why there was a portable fan on in our room when we arrived as it was not that warm outside Our room appeared to be above a boiler house or similar so even though the night time outdoor temperatures were quite low we were getting toasted throughout, despite undoing the catch on the window and jamming it up with a wedge to fully open it and try and get some air in. On arrival tv didn’t work so being an electrician looked at the leads hanging down behind the tv, the aerial cable was not plugged into the tv, got the tv going but then realised the batteries in the remote needed changing! Asked for the tea condiments tray to be refilled as only one breakfast tea bag and very little sugar and milk, loads of herbal teas and coffee!

5.0− We booked with breakfast and in the morning the lady (very unfriedly) informed us that they do not serve breakfast. Luckily, next door was a small cafe (very freindly, very good breakfast and very helpful). The day before, we skipped dinner at this location as we saw on othger tables how it looke like, We only had a drink (all warm) and a bag of crisps. The room was noisy as the the neighbours thought they must sind all the night.
Warm and welcoming staff, perfect location, and a clean room and incredibly comfy bed to fall into!
