Quiet, clean and relaxing guesthouse. Owner very friendly, considerate and helpful. Good breakfast with some Sri Lankan specialties. A/C in the rooms and a ceiling fan that can be turned up high if preferred to A/C. Bed very comfortable and spotless sheets. Short tuk tuk ride from the fort (maybe 2km?) for $1.50. Little hard to find at first without calling - mention Bandaranayika Place to tuk tuk. Maybe a clearer sign on the road by the drive? and the ebookers map showed it near the coast road when it's actually about 0.5km down (after the railway line). Google has it correct. And if that's the only fault I can think of...

Home away from home

From the time I arrived, to my departure, I felt very welcome, safe and comfortable. The owner and his family made me feel a part of their family. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was a dream to sleep in after a long day on the go. Breakfast was simple yet thoughtful, with local specialities as well as standard fare. The owner was very helpful with arranging transport and tours, and even took me into town to show me around my first night. Would definitely visit again.

A sancturary of peace

This is a lovely gated place to stay in a mixed neighborhood. Nice minimal interior design. firm bed, good shower, Extremely helpful hosts. Cheap tuk-tuk ride from Galle Fort. Host arranged tuk-tuk rides and drove us himself to the navy pier for whale watching. Asked if we were hungry when we arrived. Fixed us an excellent lunch within an hour. Offered to give us a free night tour of Galle, but we were too tired from a wedding the night before.

Trevligt litet hotell med toppen service!

Vi var jättenöjda med vår vistelse på Finlanka Guest. Hotellet ligger lite utanför centrala Galle men det tar ungefär 5 min in till Galle Fort med tuktuk. Vi tyckte det var trevligt att bo utanför "turistområdet" och se lite mer av ett srilankesiskt vardagsliv. Personalen var supertrevlig och frukosten är jättegod och anpassas efter behov. Vi kan verkligen rekommendera detta hotell! (Det enda vi inte var helt nöjda med var sängen som var lite väl hård för vår smak).
