4.0Aangekomen in Back of beyond voor 1 nachtje. Een koele ontvangst, weinig welkomsgevoel. Vreemd gevoel, geen uitleg van excursies, maaltijden,… zelf moeten vragen naar de mogelijkheden. Het is een unieke ervaring om in een boomhut te slapen maar hou er rekening mee dat het zeer primitief is. Je betaalt eigenlijk de populariteit maar om eerlijk te zijn: 146 euro met drie personen met ontbijt is veel te veel, zeker voor Sri Lanka. Het avondmaal is 1 menu a la carte die nog op 3.000 pp komt. Op zich niet zoveel maar teveel in deze totaalprijs. Het eten op zich is niet slecht en de oudere man zorgde voor een goede bediening. Ontbijt kan wel beter. We vroegen een taxi de avond ervoor om tegen 10u opgehaald te worden richting negombo. Hij was te laat. In het hotel zeiden ze 27.000 voor de taxi, was uiteindelijk 29.000, zwakke communicatie. Bijkomend: hou er rekening mee dat er ‘s nachts niemand bij de receptie zit moest er iets zijn… Toch wel teleurgesteld omwille van dit verblijf.

10.0Hele ervaring! Je moet er wel van houden om om je heen wat beesten te horen. Erg vriendelijk personeel!
Het was oké, maar te duur voor wat het is.
4.0Was wel leuk om midden in de jungle te verblijven! Je kreeg wel een volledig ‘buiten’ gevoel
− We hadden er meer van verwacht. De kamer, het eten.. de badkamer was buiten, maar niet echt op een ‘wauw’ manier. (Wij verbleven in de cottage)
Zeker een aanrader! Heel leuk!

10.0Een echte ervaring in het bos. Lekker geslapen met de geluiden van dieren en wind door de bomen. Vanaf hier is het perfect om met de tuktuk naar lions rock te gaan en het fort te bezoeken.
