Good value for money and friendly staff
7.0Value for money was very good. £60 per night in peak season for 4 was excellent. Comfy beds and lovely duvets and pillows. Bathrooms were clean. Staff were lovely and friendly. The whole place had a nice chilled vibe.
− Being next to a farm, the flies were obviously present. Worse in the morning.

10.0Lovely and family place. I was very pleased that I stayed at the very nice Bonnie Prince Charlie's room. Very comfortable, cosy, clean and well presented.

Hostel in great location
5.0Staff were lovely. Beautiful building and garden.
− The stairs were very creaky, and doors would slam constantly. No WiFi in room, and no signal for data either.
Great stay in 8 people dorm with two people in it!
8.0Location, restaurant/bar, the building and adjacent area, hiking trails' variety and description in the hostel. The dorm had just one other person , and that was a pleasant surprise!
− Absence of TV at least in the communal places. Absence of Wi-Fi in the room. Absence of towels.
Great, affordable, location for walking in the Peaks.
10.0Hartington Hall is a great location for walks in the Peak District. The village of Hartington is very quaint with lovely pubs and village shops. YHA itself offers fantastic facilities at an affordable price. It is very clean and the staff are lovely. I’d highly recommend and will be staying again.
