For a short stay, say 2 nights, its a really good place.
8.0Host prepares the breakfast herself and its really good. Location is good. Fort, beach & Church - at walking distance.
− The staircase leading to the 1st floor is very steep & narrow. Elder people will find it difficult to walk up and down the stairs.
Mary is a great host and very kind and helpful.
8.0Close but not too close to the major tourist areas.
− Little overgrown plants as you walk to your room. But I can see others loving it at the same time.
Lovely Green Garden
8.0Compact room with everything we needed. Although it had a balcony, we didn't use it. Friendly hosts and it was lovely to chat with fellow guests over breakfast. Peaceful location only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Kochin. There were always tuktuks waiting at the end of the road if we didn't want to walk. Our host arranged an excellent day trip to the backwaters, and to see a Kathakali performance. He was also very helpful in suggesting other local places to visit. We arrived way too early after an overnight train (sorry!). Our hosts kindly let us leave our bags with them until the room was ready.
− We were requested not to leave the AC on when we were not in the room, so we didn't, but this meant that the room was very warm when we returned to it. Not the fault of Heavenly Homestay, but there were frequent power cuts.
