Good fish and chips.
8.0The fish and chips was pretty good. The pieces were small in size but plenty so good for sharing. We tried the ‘famous carrot cake’ but it had so many raisins and chunks in it that we ended up just eating the frosting. Lol. They do live music there sometimes and seems to be a busy local spot! It’s fairly small inside and was quite noisy when full.
Nice Place with some problems
6.0We stayed in one of the Poplar Chalets and it was pretty much as described on their website. The check in experience was fine and the staff was helpful. The chalet/cabin was OK but had some issues. There was no hair dryer in the unit, but we figured out if you go to the office, they will give you a hair drier. Why not just put one in every unit? The "fully equiped kitchen" wasn't really all that. There were no drinking glasses in the kitchen. Only 3 mason jars, two of which were used to hold silverware. The heater in the unit didn't seem to work, but there were two space heaters which we used to keep the unit comfortable in July. I cannot image they would be sufficient to keep it warm in fall or spring. And the final issue was the live music. The Roadhouse was right next to our unit. They had a live band playing loud music until after 10:00. It was very hard to sleep when the you are just 50' from a live music stage.
Good place for a pit spot for breakfast
8.0We didn’t stay here but had breakfast. Service was a bit slow but the food was good and everyone was very friendly.
fishing cabin, not for the money we paid
3.0easy check in. (We were running later than the check in time and the manager was able to assist us). Refrigerator in the room was a pro for us . there was hot water in the shower.
− dirty room, piles of dust on the floor and in the corners when searching where to plug the electronics. There's only 1 chair as mentioned in other reviews, and it's not fitting under the table, taking more space in the small cabin. smell from septic was annoying.
What A Find!
10.0Adorable log cabin style small restaurant along highway. Great fries - kudos to chef. Husband had salmon sandwich and I had salmon tacos. Both delicious. Full bar service. Put this place on your places to stop!
